How to get to Cheltenham

From Bristol airport you can reach Cheltenham by rail or by coach (taxi services or rent a car are also available, please visit airport information.
​​Bristol Temple Meads train station is just 8 miles away. From there you can connect easily to the national rail network. Just jump on the A1 bus service for the best way to get to the station.​​​​
The A1 Bristol Flyer service stops at Bristol Temple Meads railway station. The bus runs every 12 minutes. Single ticket costs around £9, return £15.

You will need to travel from Bristol Temple Meads to Cheltenham Spa. Trains to Cheltenham run every 30 min during the day time.
From Birmingham airport you can reach Cheltenham by rail or by coach.
Birmingham Airport is directly connected to Birmingham International Station via Air-Rail Link, which takes two minutes to get to the station and operates between 03:30 and 00:30 hours daily. Outside of these hours, the airport terminal can be reached by taxi or by walking from the station.

From the airport you would take 'Air-Rail Link' monorail system into the airport train station and take any train going to Birmingham New Street Station which is about 10 mins away. From Birmingham New Street you would then catch a train to Cheltenham Spa. Tickets can be bought at the airport train station (for the whole journey) or via www.thetrainline.com. Travel time is around 1 hour 15 mins. Trains from Birmingham New Street to Cheltenham Spa run at least every 30 min during the day.

Cheltenham Bus station is located in the centre of town less than 5 min walking distance from the Cheltenham Town Hall.
Cheltenham train station is also located within walking distance from the Town Hall. It will take around 20 min to walk for somebody with long legs.
